I live in Southern California near the fires. Many friends and family members have been affected by it. Currently there is a fire near me that the wind has been driving closer. We are praying for the wind to stop and the dew point to rise. We are told that we should get a much needed on shore flow tomorrow. Please pray that we do. Thank you to all that have been praying for me.

I love this color scheme. I took this picture at an antique store a couple blocks away from my house. I love how the colors work together and the contrast level. I am thinking of designing some jewelry similar to this scheme. I like how the beige works with the ivory and vintage blue. The pink I would do in a much lighter shade for the jewelry. Maybe a pale pink pearlecent , beige, vintage, and ivory enamel . Hmmm, time to get creating.

It’s beginning to look like Christmas at Meadow Street. Hand sewn poinsettias on a 3 inch stick pin. We’re also creating some victorian Christmas ornaments, some styles will have the option of personalizing. We will also be posting some of our favorite tried and true recipes.

I love vintage buttons and the little cards they come on too. Fifteen years ago I was in Canada visiting relatives. I went in a antique shop in down town Victoria. They had a huge glass anitique jar filled with vintage buttons. I had to buy it. I have pulled together a large collection of vintage mother of pearl, bone, ivory buttons from various estate sales and my own collection. Here is the beginning of my new button line. More will follow and will include glass, bakelite, and other types.
